OK, that's cool. I didn't know. Regarding the dropouts, I actually like the shape and if they were made from SS, then I think they'd be very nice. There are a lot of little details on that bike to admire. Thanks for sharing it with us. Many will wonder what size tires it can accommodate - if you can share that with us.

^ I will. I don't have wheels for it now, but have 25s on my existing fixed gear, so can try those.

Just finished building this one for my wife today. I honestly kind of hated to convert it a little bit because it was in mint condition. I saw it go up on Craigslist this morning for $100 complete, and I got it for $75. It had everything original, completely mint. It must have been ridden about 2 miles and his whole life and then stuck in the garage. But anyway I kept all the original components and if anybody ever wants to convert it back they can, but I also like it as a fixed gear because the valite tubing is a little heavier but once you strip off all the other stuff it makes for a nice light bike. And yes I am putting a break on it, I just don't have it yet.

Trying to get some miles in before weather turns. Love this bike. Need a period correct-ish water bottle cage, and maybe a saddle bag or handlebar bag? Period correct wheelset should be done beginning of next season, with luck 🤞🏾

One of my conversions from a soviet road frame, use it as a beater bike. Learned some framebuilding on this thing.

My fixie and my Ss, both fly! The ss is a BMX crusier, the vigorelli most people know, fast but not the same comfort level as a steel frame with 45mm bombtrack tyres!

Picture of my fixed gear

This is a Viva Legato. Taiwan made from Evocycles of New Zealand. Upgrades include seatpost rack, leather grips, Brooks B17, u-lock, frame pump, Cycgolite Hotshot, 350 lumen headlight. It's used mostly for utility in place of my multi-geared hybrid. It has 45x18 gearing. Other than the accessory upgrades it's stock. Have a trunkbag on order. Also, I'm on the hunt for a stripped down fixed for some hardcore 100 km rides. Cheers.

This is my Fuji Del Rey conversion. Sugino Messenger cranks 48x15 and 103mm bb Tektro levers and calipers, KMC 1/8" chain, SMP 25mm tires, Specialized saddle with cover, Wellgo dual-sided clipless, Topeak Mini Morph frame pump. Had it blasted and powdered sparkle black. It broke my heart to sell it, but to ship it to New Zealand would cost ridiculous money, so I bought the Viva when I got settled in.

Got it ready to ride with the new wheels, tubular glue is dried and of course it's raining this morning. I bought one of those bottle cage storage thingies a few months ago and it's really nice to have when you don't run a saddle bag.

Rear Drop Out Chain Tensioner?
Nice looking bike. Im curious about your rear drop out chain tensioner. Is that self made or is it a part available for purchase somewhere? I put the MKS JAPAN style on my bike and although they work its not quite a good fit. My rear drop out stock is thicker than allowed for. Your rear drop outs look similar in thickness to mine. Cheers

Since I got my new wheels for the Wabi I put the Sub-15's on my Swobo rain bike. Dropped about a pound and a half and it was already a light bike.

I picked up this Fyxation East Side from the company's headquarters in Milwaukee as my commuter bike. As an effort to get my coworkers into bicycling, I wanted a bicycle that's both affordable and pretty with a little bit of hometown pride.

Just finished this one. It's a rattlecan job after a truly gruesome stuck seat post removal, but I think it turned out alright. New wheels, cranks, bars, seatpost, and pedals. Frame is a 1983(ish) Fuji valite Monterey.

Sorry for the delay. Been sick for about a week, haven't had the mental faculties to post much (don't even have the mental faculties when I'm healthy).
I picked these up for about $12 on Amazon. They are the origin8 branded tugs. The past few months I have been trying to limit my patronization of Amazon, but here is a link from where I got them. Same price as when I got them in July-ish.

They work VERY well for the price. A tad finicky to get set up right, but have no concern about sturdiness. Machined well, and seem sturdy. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.
