My "other" new fixed gear. A bit too small, but fits well enough with the townie-ization. Unknown (as of yet, I'm working on it) builder, probably in the PNW during 70s/80s. Custom paint. Since the tapered stays match the catalog, I'm guessing full 531 tubeset. Prugnut Super Professional lugs, Columbus track ends, reinforced bottle cages, and a wild square undrilled seatstay. The bb feels a bit low, coupled with the bottle bosses leads me to think it was a custom road fixed frame. The PO was a certifiable fixie goon, still street riding track bikes in his 70s.

fine, haven't noticed any drawbacks. Lil toe rub with size L clips on Sylvans, but nothing that'll stop me in my tracks in a u-turn. The other day I was moving pretty fast and merged into the bike lane, and kinda shocked myself at how quickly I was able to do that. It was kinda scary for a second, but then I was like, damn. This handles awesome. Zippy. Easy to ride no hands, it'll stay pretty straight. And my headset isn't cranked or anything, it spins free. The fork doesn't look as straight in other photos but I did notice that about it too.

Today's ride
Needs a bath. Heavy with the s3x wheelset (heavy, but indestructible) but rides smooth and perfect for hillier terrain. The weight doesn't impact average speed that I have noticed too much. Columbus main tubes (probably cromor or some custom drawn tubing for Schwinn) with crit type geometry. Love this bike.

Picked this up a few years ago as a frame set with headset, brakes, crankset and stuck seat post for $50. The stash burped up the stem, handlbar, tape, brake leavers, post, and saddle. The wallet donated a replacement BB, larger chainring, wheel set, chain and rear sprockets.
