Cinelli Olympic vs Supercorsa
 

does anyone know the differences between the olympic frameset,and the Supercorsa, I know the Supercorsa has better tubes, I was just wondering about the geometry.

same, oh, chrome lugs.

No chrome lugs on the SuperCorsa. Check here for detailed info on the geometry. I'm almost positive it is identical to the Olympic. And even more expensive if you can believe that.

and the paint chips easily.

The Supercorsa is a road frame, while the Olympic is a track frame. I own a Supercorsa and love it. It's smooth and nice geomtry for a road frame. Plus, if you get an older model you do get chrome lugs. Some older models of the Olympic also have chrome lugs.

Actually no, the Supercorsa from what I gather is a "type" for Cinelli rather than a "model". See the business cycles link above for the new "Supercorsa Pista" frameset.

That Web site is a bit confusing. It lists the Supercorsa as a specific bike at one point and then also as a track bike on the track section. Either way, it is a track frame and a road frame. There are two different types and I only know the road bike, which I love.

I picked up my Olympic frame from my LBS a couple years back for $775. They were able to pick it up locally from Euro Asia the very same day. They also had available with different Columbus tubing material and chromed lugged framesets for like $300 more. Last time I checked with my LBS a couple months back, these chromed framesets were still available in many sizes...but now were asking like $1295 for them. My LBS didn't seem to know the exact model name.....I don't think Euro Asia knew either....
