Confused about my NJS bike BB threading

Confused about my NJS bike BB threading

So I recently took apart my NJS bottom bracket (a Sugino 75). I generally was under the assumption that these bikes were English threaded, but both my cups turn clockwise (so right turn), which means it is Italian threaded. My confusion comes with the markings on the cups, they both say 1.37 x24T which are measurements for an English cup (According to the Phill Wood Cup size numbers). I'm looking to change to a Phil Wood square taper bottom bracket, but now, I'm not sure which bottom bracket cup to get.

If the frame is NJS, the bottom bracket is English threaded.
If the BB cups are NJS, they are English threaded.
If the BB cups are English threaded they will say 1.37 X 24

Check your BB thread direction again.

These rings, British thread. The drive side ring will have a color marking to indicate left-hand thread (counter-clockwise to tighten):
