Received the 32mm Panaracer GravelKing SS+ tire today for the rear wheel, and added a half link to the chain so that I can install and remove it w/o having to deflate the tire. The half link won't work with the KMC Missing Link, so I had to replace it with a standard master link with a spring clip. Took it for it's second ride today, and it's a dream !

Did a full rebuild on the Cramerotti this afternoon. Went for a nice 15 mile test ride and took a few pics.

I was sporting a $7 steel fork on this thing for a long time, so when I found a good deal on a NOS 1" threaded carbon fork I snapped it up for the build.

CK headsets work better upside-down.

Overall getting close to where I'd like it to be. Weighs something like 17 pounds, quick little ripper.

Cheers

Yeah, came a long way from Italy/Canada. I actually bought this frame from an eBay seller in California, so this bike has made its rounds. If walls (or bikes) could talk, right?
I have a habit of building non matching wheelsets, and this was my first carbon build. Both rims came from eBay sellers. The Easton was used as a rear road wheel and got pretty thrashed - way out of true, spokes busted, hub missing a dust cap. The Mavic rim was NOS from a seller called RogueMechanic. He's got lots of Mavic wheel goodies if you ever need any for a build. Laced both hoops to some DT Swiss track hubs and they've felt great for the first 500 miles.
Thanks for looking and ride safe!

Picked up a complete Gan Well Pro for dirt cheap. Had Sugino 75s, Nitto parts, Suzue Pro Max hubs.. etc.
Not sure if I’m going to run silver or black parts yet. Silver stuff is what came on the bike, black are my old parts off my Samson.

I can finally claim a single speed in my collection and I love riding it ! I've had this bike since Dec of '14 with the intention of making it a SS but it needed a lot of work. Everything painted black was either rusted or oxidized badly. I really like the green paint, but it's dinged up ....I'm going for a well used messenger bike vibe. It's a '76 S10-S special road racer & I'm using the original 50 T Sugino Maxy front ring and 888 "perfect" freewheel. The 14 & 17 small cogs both line up.

track season just wrapped up. Didn't race as much or as well as I wanted to, due to travel and some other things, but moved into cat 4 where the fields are larger and the riding much faster.

I built this from a Centurion Comp TA awhile back . It turned out to be to big for me so I sold it , my plan was to get back to the velodrome . Practice days only , no racing .

State Bicycle Co. Undefeated Track.
This is my first SS/FG bike I've built up. The 48T x 16T seems to be a good combo for riding around locally, might even drop down to a 15T.

Built up this 2002 Olmo Gara Pista on Sunday afternoon.
Had a rainy weekend, so today was the first good chance to go for a test ride and snap a few pics:

Also my first time giving this Ergostem a try. I was pretty nervous since I weigh 200 pounds and live in a city with rough roads, but it feels super solid so far. 20 miles in and no complaints.

Definitely going to swap out the RD2s the first chance I get. This frame has a French threaded BB and the only thing in my parts bin was an old 35 x 1 BB and these dusty cranks. Still better than nothing, though.

Due to a controversial reception, the pink novelty valve caps have been replaced with a more family friendly Homer Simpson resin casting.

Thanks for looking and ride safe

So I picked up this cheap fixed gear for not much on a whim.
I brought it home, pumped up the tires, rolled it out of the garage and promptly when over the bars,,,,
I forgot that you can't push out of the garage, put a foot on the pedal, and.....coast. NOPE. Not a freewheel.
Hopped on the pedal, bike stopped and I promptly did a faceplant...oops. I'm okay though....I may flip the rear to a freewheel and add a U brake.

Is that padding on the top, seat and down tubes?
