2023 Post your Single Speed and Fixed Gear Thread
Happy New Year to all of you.
Here is my current project. I've caught the NJS bug. What are you working on? https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...abaeeaa55a.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...da1db53002.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...bc5472908c.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...086f23646a.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b3792eae8f.jpg Thanks for looking and ride safe  |
I like the flat fork crown on the Stratos. Lots of nice little details on that frame set. And the paint is unique. Nice stuff.
|
Thank you, here's a better pic of the flat crown:
Really enjoying the craftsmanship on these frames. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ae95aeeca1.jpg |
That’s a beautiful bike.

Glad you enjoyed the build. Ride safe :thumb: |
First ride on my fixed gear this year. Nice easy spin to loosen up my legs from yesterday’s 3 hour road ride.
A very nice gentleman made a comment about my bike and bag, and we ended up riding together for almost an hour just chatting away. Nice day on the bike for sure. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...df4e865db.jpeg |
Looks like it's time to re-post my bikes, so here goes with my newest and current favorite:

Saw one of these frames the other day - Quite striking in person - what do you think about the low spoke count wheels - any notable trade offs? |

I've never had any problems with properly built low spoke count wheels, but I weight less than 140 lbs. Im 155 at the moment and have been riding Mavic Ellipse which has a 20/20 spoke count and a 30mm rim height for the last 16 years without issue - even when my weight went up to 185 but lately I've been thinking about trying a new wheelset - maybe something with wider rims - either pre built or picking components and I've been second guessing myself because almost all the available wheelsets on offer are 32 spoke... |

Speaking of chrome plated steel bikes:

New year, same old piece of ****.
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b89de7cd89.jpg One new thing, though: I finally ditched the cheapo FoxEye headlight because its standlight capacitor had died, and upgraded to a B&M Eyc. Wish I'd done this years ago! |

I don't get it. But I am glad to have found the Show Me Your Garage Door thread...

Seems like every week or so I need to make a little adjustment for chain tension, although there are some depressions on the inside of the dropouts that I have a suspicion the hub locknuts are just migrating their way to... |

Do you have any issues with the rear wheel slipping in the chromed track ends?
