"P.S. what is your seat post diameter on your bianchi?"

Regarding this question i just wanted to share my experience
i know the seatpost diameter on the Pista is listed as 27.2 but
when i attempted to fit a post in there i had from an old bianchi road bike
that was stamped 27.2 it did not fit not even close so i brought it to the local
bike shop and had them measure it and it turned out the size was a 26.2 i have since
purchased an old campy seatpost and it fits snug like it should can anyone enlighten me on why that is did i get a fluke ? or has anyone else had this issue
thanks

Didn't you know that all measurement made in 2004 had a 1 inch variance to compensate for the tectonic shifts in the earth due to the change in our magnetic fields that was a delayed response to the Y2k virus?

I had the same thing happen when I replaced the seatpost. looked for a 27.2 c-record post for a while, and upon getting one discovered the diam. was actually 26.8. Luckily I was able to find the same post in 26.8
I too wonder why my bike was built to different specs then what was listed on the manufactures website

yeah. They suck. I replace mine with an older bianchi lugged track fork (undrilled) with a threaded headset and quill stem. I stripped the Celeste off and clear coated it so it matches the frame. Makes the pista look a lot nicer.
