Turning Fixed into SS

What is the best hub and freewheel out there?

isotopesope 08-11-05 08:23 AM

white industries easily make the best freewheel. the best hub is speculative, but i would offer paul or phil wood to be some of the best hubs around.

assuming that you're already riding fixed and want to go single speed; couldn't you just thread a freewheel onto your fixed hub, add brakes, and be set?

marcelinyc 08-11-05 06:18 PM

yes,i would need a hub that accepts freewheel. anyway, im asking a question so im looking for an answer not a question...thanks anyway

Just use the fixed hub! *And no lockring, of course.

crushkilldstroy 08-11-05 10:12 PM

seriously. just thread the freewheel onto the hub you have right now. the freewheel don't care about that little space for the lockring.
