Low aluminum track frameset

Picking up this Low frameset... Never had experience with track/fixed gear (I'm a roadie). Should be pretty easy to build up on my own, I assume? Anyone know about these frames? From my online research, it looks like they were hand-made by Andrew Low in San Francisco? TIA

there's not much difference, it's just less stuff to slap on.

The frame is cleaning up nicely... I'll post pics soon. Looks like Andrew Low is an esteemed framebuilder from San Francisco. Pretty cool...

Any idea of what this frame is worth? TIA

However much you want to pay for it. Andrew Low makes great bikes but in the end it is a used bike and is a fixed gear probably with a track geo so a more limited market. One picture doesn't give you much but if you want to pay a bunch for it go for it if not don't.

How would you guys build this up? I already have bars, seatpost, and saddle. In terms of what's readily available, what would be your choice for the crankset, wheels, and rear cog? TIA...

My choice would be Sugino 75 DD, EAI Gold Medal Cog and Izumi Super Toughness Chain. For wheels I would go with some Mack Hubs and some Velocity rims. Something nice and handmade. But that is me personally. All City New Sheriff SLs would be my normal choice for great quality but lower cost hubs but they are not being made currently. Phil Wood is another neat option but their hubs are a bit heavier but really excellent quality and that Phil logo always makes me swoon.

Thank you so much! And how about for gearing? I'm not racing and will probably just use this bike to ride around with the kids at a leisurely pace...

Whatever gearing works for you. I will say 17x46 works nicely for me but there have been times I have ridden with people doing more casual rides and gone a little to fast so...
In the end I think a 144 crank can go down to a 42 and the largest EAI cog is an 18t so that is your lowest gear but I know Sugino has some crazy big chainrings so you can go pretty crazy at the high end though a larger set up on both ends is going to be more efficient just as an FYI.

Did you end up building this frameset up? If not, are you looking to sell?
