Hooker Bruises

Yeah, I got a few hooker bruises on my back.

I used to rock a Chrome Citizen bag & I think it's the cause of my bruises on my back/spine.

All the small crap in my bag such as tools, change, ect would compile in the bottom corner (it was the bottom right on my bag since I hang off the left shoulder) and bounce on my back.

Ever since I switched to the Kremlin bag (which sits lower) the bruises have started to dissipate.

Anyone else have this problem?

i put a piece of closed-cell foam between the liner and the outer shell. works great, and no more getting poked and banged in the back.

I can't say I've had that problem, but I learned early on to toss a spare sweater or hoodie in whatever bag i was using as padding.

I do the same - always carry my rain jacket as a buffer/pad for my back.

works wonders for me too.... but stuff still pokes my back through the sweater or the sweater gets bunched up and becomes useless.

dolface, what's this closed cell foam stuff? is it expensive? where do you get it?

i used a chunk i cut out from one of those cheapie sleeping pads you can get at rei or someplace similar, should only cost you about $5.

lay the bag on the foam, trace the shape w/ a sharpie, cut it a little smaller than the bag so it doesn't make the bag look funny, and you're all set.

Closed cell foam is available from your local hardware or supply store. Different thicknesses, styles and stickiness available.
