Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

People who ride on this pedal: how exactly does it work? Every site says it combines clipless technology with the ability to use clips/straps and it apparently comes with cleats. A couple sites have said that they're Look cleats, but though they're similar to Looks, they don't appear to be the same. Are they compatible with Looks, or do they just look similar and use the same 3-bolt pattern?

How exactly does the clipless mechanism work? Do you rotate to release, or is that grey knob on the backside a manual release?

I like the idea of locking into a pedal and also using straps, but I'd, like to be able to know how the whole system works before shelling out $150+ for them. And no, I haven't been able to find them in any bike shop around where I live.

Thanks all.
