bike co-op in philly?
 

my sis in philly needs to get a beater commuter. Any good locations for a decent working bike on the cheap? Could even be a singlespeed too (blatant attempt to keep thread from being deleted)

Via Bikes on 9th/South St. has lots of used bikes.

craigslist. via does good work, but their stuff is kinda pricey for what it is.

there's the bike church but i have now idea where it is except that its somewhere in west philly

bike church is like 38th and locust walk...there is a shop somewheres around 52nd/baltimore ( i think, i know it's baltimore, but dunno about 52) fire-somthing or another...pretty decent...

hey, i remember bike church. Yeah, its at like the very west end of U Penn, where behind the church (hence bike church). They got a basement full of old bikes. If you fix it up yourself (which i recomend, it give you a sense of pride in it), its even cheaper than getting it fixed up by them. And they help guide you in fixing it, so its not like you're going about like an idiot
