IRO mark V rear breaks?

IRO mark V rear breaks?

i was planning on putting together a singlespeed IRO and like the Mark V frame, but on their site it says regarding the mark V pro frame and fork:

"There is no rear brake mount on the bridge"

but in the description for the regular mark V frame and fork it says:

"The frame and fork are drilled for standard road calipers in case you want to add brakes and use it as a single speed."

so i'm wondering if anyone can tell me if there are in fact mounts for a rear break on the regular mark V frame?

thanks

...And that would be the difference between the Mark V and the Mark V Pro.

My Mark V Pro did not come with a rear break, or I would have returned it immediately as a defective product. If your bike comes with a rear break, I would suggest the same.

strong words, Devolution. aeser wants to go SS, and a r. break--er, brake--is a good idea. in fact, whatever the f.u.c.k. somebody else wants on their bike is a good idea, as long as they want it on, and it's safe. it would be nice to see fixed/track culture be a little less severe with the coolness requirements.

aeser--the Mark V has brazed-on guides on the top tube and has a rear seatstay bridge that's drilled for a r. brake. the Mark V Pro is without these things. enjoy your ride.

Jeez . . . looks like Devolution was simply saying he wouldn't accept a bike that literally was broken in the rear. Or not.

Does anybody else find this misspelling to be the most annoying one of all? I was at a LBS the other day, and on their custom printed sign that detailed prices for regular repairs, it said:

REGULAR TUNE-UP: Lube all bearings, adjust shifters, align breaks

That, on top of crap-tastic service, is why they will get no more business from me.

it's so bad! and it's so common on this site that i am almost becoming immune to it...
to the point where i read devolution's post and didn't get it for a second. reading breaks/brakes is turning me into an idiot.

Good lord, the peddling one. Whenever I read "I was peddling down the street... I imagine a prostitute. Or an old-timey salesman, ritter brush man, etc.

It is the accepted non-American spelling, I think. Only you guys write in a baby-simplified way: tire, lite...
