Central London ride, Oct. 8th...

Who's down? I've got a route marked out and could list it if folks are interested/suggest something different. I've had no luck finding an image that I could map out and post so it's just scribbled through my A-Z right now.
The route I have planned takes in most of the tourist traps which shouldn't be too busy this time of year and earlier in the a.m.

Of course I'd like to finish at the Duke...

ImOnCrank 09-24-05 06:04 PM

Route looks bomber kids, sign up. And yes, i know i posted a similar message elsewhere. PS: does anyone have any spare riser bars kickin around here. I kinda wanna give them a shot.

*bump*
for a monday morn...

Momentum 09-26-05 02:13 AM

Monday crew here feeling knackered. I'm up for it - sounds like a good route around central. What kind of time do you think we should start?

fixedpip 09-26-05 03:55 AM

I'm up for it. Seems like it should be a good craic.

boycey 09-26-05 04:31 AM

Nice route. Should get a thirst on.

ImOnCrank 09-26-05 08:34 AM

10:30 alright?

osiris_five 09-26-05 09:39 AM

Sounds good to me

techone 09-26-05 12:51 PM

Yea, I was thinking 10, 1030 to beat most of the traffic. Since there's some folks new to London I don't think it should be a balls out fast as you can go sort of ride. Although we shouldn't stop at all red lights but not get crazy either!
Fast parts will be obvious and slow parts will be just as obvious...

ImOnCrank 09-28-05 11:20 AM

Bump. Yeah I hear that, any other takers?

powerjb 09-28-05 01:05 PM

goodness I wish I was still in london...

osiris_five 09-28-05 04:17 PM

10-10:30 looks good to me.

ImOnCrank 10-05-05 05:55 PM

bump, just a reminder.

Momentum 10-06-05 02:25 AM

I was just about to go and look for this thread to bump it up. I reckon its gonna be a fun day out in the town.

mr_tom 10-06-05 04:00 AM

Man, that looks like a hoot, but I've got to work on Saturday. Bast-ards!

Shout as you go past the Bank, and I'll keep an ear out!

salmonchild 10-06-05 04:58 AM

which side of midday is the 1030? i should be up for it kind of hing i've been looking forward to for ages.

oh and i have some (slightly chopped) risers that i removed from my setup as it was getting a bit stale. polished finish...

Momentum 10-06-05 05:13 AM

It's the early side of midday, before the traffic gets too hectic... Should be wicked fun

ImOnCrank 10-06-05 08:40 AM

Nice, hey salmon can you bring them risers on the ride with you? I'd be much oblidged.

desire 10-06-05 09:14 AM

if i can get rid of this cough i will try and be there...

stupid question, are you meeting on the euston rode side of the library?

techone 10-06-05 02:04 PM

Hey Salmon, long time! Yea, in the AM through midday...

Did anybody else know the Ridley jumble is this saturday as well?
I kinda double-booked myself but would rather do this ride, there needs to be more stuff like this happening to promote some sense of community amongst us in London...
Although if others would rather try to do both in the same day, the ride could easily be postponed till noon-ish or so?
If not, I'll still be at the Library come 10-ish...

After all, it would definitely save me some much needed cash to avoid the jumble!

Yep, Euston road entrance...

ImOnCrank 10-06-05 03:25 PM

Yeah I'm kinda keen on going to the swap meet. Who's up for making the ride at noon or 1?

Momentum 10-07-05 02:16 AM

I'm fine with that - not gonna go to the jumble though, just spend some happy time in bed
