The Beatles were nothing special. Great PR guys, bandwagon jumpers, with a few pretty decent songs, quite a lot of very average material, and some crap. The same can be said of their solo careers.

Come on guys, concentrate on the thread's title (and purpose of this forum and others-bike issues not music). Look closely at the bike Sir Paul is riding. I seems to be a single speed rather than a fixie (note the coaster brake which is barely seen in photos). This is the second time he had publicly rode a bike for business. The first time was probably before most of you were born way back in 1965 for the film Help! The 2 bikes spanning 40 years apart even resemble each other. Catch it on the DVD version.

is the bike mentioned at all in the article?

john's 'plastic ono band' is as good a record as any the beatles ever did (and i'm a HUGE beatles fan). paul's first, and george's 'all things must pass' are also masterpieces. so poop to you, my friend! |

I'd love to be as talented as some of the people I consider REALLY talented (Thelonius Monk, Joni Mitchell, Mark Eitzel), but I'm not. I still know the greatest marketing act of all time when I see it. The Beatles were a decent band who pretended to be something special. Great manipulators of the zeitgiest? Yes. Great musicians? No. Great songwriters? Maybe Harrison........

I heard somewhere that Tupac was John and Hitler's illegitimate love child. Ironic fates for all no?

i've heard the hitler and schiele thing before but i'm pretty sure it's BS

Paul has always been a bike nut, well known for it. Travels with a bike which he rides every day and I understand insists on riding before every concert performance.
He and his first wife sponsored a pro Bike Team for a while as well. Seeing him on a bike doesn't surprise me at all and given he takes one on tour - the fixie makes sense as there is less to get buggered up with all the handling. |
