What difference does it make?
The resurrection of this thread didn't hurt me, and, in fact, I plan on following a link in this thread and learning something.

I followed the David Moulton link and it made for a good read.
David Moulton thinks curved forks absorb road shock and vibration better than do straight forks.
Intuitively, that seems probable, but I wonder if any objective tests exist to measure the vibration and shock dampening of different frames, materials and design features.
When I read the so-called road tests in magazines, I really get nothing more than the author's subjective impression, and many times it sounds suspiciously like hype.

there is no difference if the offsets are equal.
straight bladed forks are a manufacturing option
which affords the maker efficiency and productivity.
it's easier to cant two straight blades into, say, a
45mm rake, than it is two rake two singular
blades into matching and parallel sets for a
curved build.
