Quick question, if anyone know off the top of their head. In light of the above discussion roughly how much does it cost bringing your bike with you as excess luggage flying from Canada to the US? Just curious, hence can't be asked to google or check with airlines.

Orgin8 makes some really crap products. But they make some solid midlevel products too. Their stems fall in the later category.

Buying a new headset for the winter bike build. Should I go with the basic Tange Levin, or spring an extra $12 for the Velo Orange Sealed Bearing set. Having munched through a bunch of headset bearings on my previous winter bike, but seen the sealed cartridge wheel bearings last pretty much forever (I replaced them after 4 winters, but they didn't need it) I'm inclined to go for the sealed bearing headset.

Have a Steamroller which came with a gear ratio of 44t/19t. Have been going at it for a couple of months, but I find to "easy" to pedal (does that make me want a higher or lower gear?).
I'm looking at getting a new chainring from VeloSolo, but wondering how much an addional couple of teeth makes. Would a 47t be too much of an increase?
