it's a POS alpha.

afaik they're garbage

genericbikedude 11-23-05 07:26 PM

its an alpha. designed by a wackjob in Philly at frankenstein bike works, and a friend/ex-boss of mine who will remain nameless (because I like him in spite of this horrible bike that he labored over with autocad).

its gaspipe cromo with crappy stock parts. the dented toptube adds nothing more than questionable sytle. don't buy it.

thanks, my neighbor is looking at it. i'll tell him to avoid it.

He's been trying to sell that POS thing with excessive exclamation points for over a month now.

Lunigma 11-23-05 08:22 PM

they sell these on ebay for about that much, 300. DONT' BUY IT THOUGH! i don't think the original bike comes with a surly hub, it comes with a Quando and some generic crappy cog. this person must have changed the hub. i asked the ebay guy about the cog and he said it's taiwan just like all other bike components, and he didn't sound very nice. the bike also weighs a lot! 26 pounds, that's way too much for a fixie. you can get a thrift store bike that weighs less than that and for cheaper.
