heat treated vs CroMo

I've noticed that Nitto drops are offered in both CroMo and heat-treated aluminum. What are the pros/cons of each material? At businesscycles, the heat treated aluminum bars are more expensive then their steel counterparts.

the aluminum bars are way lighter but more flexy.

despite the same sounding names, they're actually shaped differently too.
the AA versions have about a 13mm shorter reach and a 5mm deeper drop.

Also, there's also a non-CrMo steel version (the plain B123) that has the same shape as the B123CrMo, but is just heavier. and cheaper.

please explain. i was under the impression that aluminum is stiffer and less flexy than steel.

as a frame, yes, but not really as h-bars. aluminum is most efficient (stiff) in large diameters with thin walls. look at a cannondale downtube. this doesn't work for handlebars so you end up with different characteristics.

makes sense, thanks for the clarification. for a while i was considering bullhorns, but i've come to love drop bars. now i can tell santa what i want for christmas. ;)
