Here's a random thought:
How much of the Keirin influnce is just simply shorter people looking for a quality lugged steel ride? Personally, almost every Keirin frame that I've seen was way too small for me, so maybe that's part of it? Just trying to get back on topic, somewhat... |
i just picked up a 56cm Samson!... so as to influence... since the bigger sizes are rare, next to the fact that keirin frames are rare as it is, just makes them hot property.

I know! Where am I going to find a 58cm Keirin frame with a 56cm top tube? So I went Italian, but that's still 58/58, I think....

Ie. people can spend as much as they wish on comonents and frames if they're not willing give it there all while riding. Whats the point. To look cool? |

that's odd. i think of the frame as the sum total of his nearly 40 years in the trade. to wit, i think it's perfect. wabi-sabi, and all that! at the end of the day, anybody could look at anything handmade and say, "foul". what is the point of that? try to understand the history of the builder's line and i suspect you'll look deeper than the paint layer. e-RICHIE©™® |
