I need a new seat post and the only place I can find the size post I need, 26.6, is from BMX places. I'm prolly going to get this one. I realize its nothing special or exciting, but its cheap and thats the way I roll.

My question though is whether its clamp system will accept normal road saddles. thanks

BMXers use Thompson seatposts all the time, so I'm assuming that post will work fine.

I bought the frame off of ebay, and if came with that post already in it-- and stamped on it is 26.6. It seems odd to me though cause most frames I've see have been at least 27. I'd love to know whats goin on with it.

thanks for the quick reply

25.4, 26.0, 26.2, 26.4, 26.6, 26.8, 27.0, 27.2

Specs change from year to year from model to model to make to make. It's all wacky. just have to accept it.

My centurion has a 26.6 seatpost. There are options other than BMX from Nashbar, et al. I'm just using the generic from the bike shop, $13 special.

In my experience, the only seat I've found that doesn't jive with a standard seatpost is one without rails at all.

My old Puch has a 25.0...hard one to find, but I have a line on a Campy Super Record on e-bay. Old one has been brazed to fit the seat-holder-onner...
