DC Pirates: Sail the Seven "C's" for Scurvy Cessation!

It occurred to me the other day that we might include C Street in the itinerary.

Sherwood. September 23rd. Be there or be .

Have we set a time to shove off yet?

September 23rd is also the final Q and Not U show. And the weekend of the Seagull I'm riding to Harrisonburg and back with my friend. I probably should quit my job so I have more free time.

Okay, here's the thing. I'm coming from Rockville, and I can't actually take my baby on the Metro until 7pm.

Any advice on how to get into DC? Should I suck it up and do 20 on the way in? I don't even have a clue on where to begin thinking of a route.

for the saturday ride, you can take it on the train any time.
for the friday ride, i'd say just ride it in. it's not a long ride that we do.

That would be keen if you go west on the W&OD. I could meet up with everyone in Falls Church or something.

WU4me, meet us at key so we can see you climb Lee hwy.
EmMildew, we'll figure out something about the 23rd. may have a spare if you are between 5' 5" and 6'. But if you must ride, prob rockcreek via beach drive? or traffic it all the way down rockville pike which turns into wisconson ave and into geotown ( or detour to cap cresent from bethesda......

ahoy there maties!!
thar be trouble a'brewin

for all of you planning on doing a saturday seagull training ride...
I tip my feathered cap to you.
it looks like for the second weekend in a row, I'm going to miss out.

Thats not to say I won't be training though!
I'll just be heading south. way south.
Should cover the same distance (70+ miles)
I'm riding down to my parent's farm in Montross VA
bet you never seen a tree-farming pirate now have you?

But there's still today and tomorrow!
I know that WU4me and I were talking about riding today after work... any other takers? Pcow? network1? LBK?

Nothing crazy - i'll try and keep it under 20 miles.
let the PM'ing begin!

In other news..

International Talk like a pirate day is coming up soon.
...*ahem*... sorry

The day o' pirate talk be close at hand. raise the midjib and set sail for the nearest bar you mangey dogs! There be drinking to be done and toasts to Blackbeard's Bike. Avast!!!!

*sigh*
i need to work on that.
i'll see you on the streets

_tink
eye on the tiger baby
aye-eye on the tiger
we ride at dusk!

I can't make the training ride on Saturday; I wish I could. What is this Seagull Century anyway? I assume it's too late to try and join in on that?

I'm looking forward to the 23rd!

The Seagull Century is the world's flattest century. It starts at Salisbury University in Maryland on Saturday, October 8th. I'm pretty sure it's not too late to register, but it costs more if you sign up after August 15th.
