i am a messenger. i'm from wisconsin.

do you guys get better pay/more runs/less competition when the weather is bad? I messengered for three weeks in the summer in Philly, and always for the worst company.

more runs because of less competition. at least that's the way it is for me, at a big company. redmenace will probably get the same amount of work, because all of his coworkers are pros. (right?)

haha, no... i'll get the same amount of work because i am a ****ty messenger. that doesn't mean the rest of the crew are not pros, though. they shred and they'll prove it tomorrow.

More runs, less comp as well. My company, strangely, pays "inclement weather bonuses" which help soften the blow, a little.

edit. sorry, if you were still a messenger in wi, you probably wouldn't be concerned about the weather in nyc, and/or, you'd be used to it.

today does suck. and i haven't even left yet. i have to admit i used to have fun working in total **** weather like this, but that time has passed. i'm old now and i am no longer amused. i'd like to -play- in the snow but to work in it is less interesting to me. i think that's because if i'm playing, i'm doing it on my own terms and if i get tired/wet/cold/bored i can just leave and go inside. that's not going to be the case today.

let's rip **** up, NYC.

Im not even going to attempt it today.

but if you guys are on canal street today, come on by the shop and I will have a cup of hot coffee or Tea waiting for ya.
