tightness
So following my recent complications with pedals, I'd like to know, once and for all, how tight should I tighten bolts and parts?
I generally tighten things as tight as possible or to the point that I feel should be fine, but thats not very reassuring. So far I've been told about 30 ft.# for crankarm bolts. What about the others? I'm gonna start getting anal about all this and buy a torque wrench. So how many ft#'s should I tighten things?
Seatpost, stem, crank, chainring, pedals, hubs?

good call on the torque wrench, wang. my guess is you'll realize how much you were undertorquing most bolts.

I usually just tighten stuff down pretty well...and then check it once in a while...
if it comes loose, then I know I need to tighten it down better the next time

dolface, just checked out that link, more than I'll ever need.
You're my new hero. I'm full of useless info, whereas you're full of useful links.

For those w/o torque wrenches or lots of info, just remember that some stuff tightens while riding, so for those items there is no need to overtighten them.
