Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So how is this going to be any different (aside from stupid easy checkpoints) if all of the experienced townies are going to be riding in addition to the newbies?

Going back to the impetus of ella's complaint- The "studs" aren't racing for they have been relegated to running checkpoints. What's left as far as "experienced" townies go are people who are normally viable contenders for DFL. It's an even playing field. Perhaps.

this is totally stupid. If i wasn't a lonely loser with no friends i'd definitely be doing something else that didn't exclude talented racers... but now I've won both a sexy t-shirt and a pink thunder lap-dance... ohhh yeah...

the shwag alone is worth the effort of msngr's "only my fiends can race" race. Besides the fact that MSNGR always tries to kick me in the knee when he sees me because he's jealous of youth + beauty.

I figure it's like christmas: the one with the highest blood-alcohol content "wins"

okay, msngr: if it's a battle you wanted, like bad cheerleader movies: consider it broughten.

yeah.

I said broughten.

while reeling totally drunk at a lower east side bar I was told that msngr has let a potential stud-muffin through the organizational butt-cracks: a fast boy (LBF) has been considered "elidgible" hopefully this also means "available for drunken groping."

wa hooo!!!

but, since we seem to have an excess of beer, i think maybe i should throw a bit of a beer drinking party at the gazebo after the awards.

i should check to see if the grill is still back there.

to clarify, I never said I wanted a lap dance. I would rather see you as a giant gumball and have some sugar fantasy fulfilled. or something like that.

well, I'll give you a lapdance anyway. In fact, maybe that'll be my checkpoint challenge: put up with 30 seconds of gyrating and thrusting from s_9. Terror in Pink should come out & race. Terror in Pink meets Terror in Pink. Which one is more terrifying?

I hope it's nice outside on Saturday. These lapdances could get chilly and/or soggy by the end of the race.

...we're givers here in New York. We just want you to have a good time.

The warmth and fuzziness here remind me of the days leading up to the MnG. Good times. It's a shame I won't be in NY for this.
