Help me out with a price on a used rear wheel
Thinking of buying a used rear track/fixed wheel.
dura ace track hub[loose ball], fixed/fixed, includes one lockring, laced to mavic reflex clincher rim, hand built with double butted spokes. What do ya'll think is a good price for this wheel? |
hf or lf?

It's low flange, and the wheel color is all silver, just in case color would affect price. |
Pretty snippy for a person asking for help.
It's my understanding that Dura Ace High Flange hubs are hard to come by these days, which would probably increase the wheel's price. |

"High-flange hubs can make a wheel with slightly greater lateral strength than equivalent small-flange hubs."
-Sheldon Brown But yeah, in terms of Dura Ace, I believe high flange hubs are just a lot more scarce. |
as hp said, flange-size (trivial or not) makes a big difference in price. the hf ones are hard to find in this country, and there's a rumour that shimano is gonna stop (or has stopped) making them.
anyway, at a guess, i'd say you're looking at a $150 - $200 wheel. (caveat: i'm hungover, and my brain is a little broken right now). |
I had a wheel built with a high flange Suzue hub and a Mavic D-521 wheel for $150 new. That included Dt spokes and the build by the lbs wrench.

I thought that Suzue was trash?
