calling on your collective expertise - please

it reads suntour in "outline" font in the center (on the shell)

so, is this a road hub turned track? a bmx hub? or... ?

appreciate your thoughts

bmx huh?

uh.... can i lace up it around a 700c wheel?

if so, what gauge spokes?

btw---thanks for identifying them for me as i was at a loss (as usual).

yea you can lace it to a 700c rim, using any gauge spoke you desire.

The axle may (or may not) be too fat to fit in your fork dropouts.
I don't think there would be a problem lacing w/ 14ga spokes and probably not even with 15, but some hubs (although I don't believe that one) came with really big spoke holes - I was about to lace up a coaster brake hub with 14ga spokes and the heads passed right through the spoke hole.
These holes look good from here though.

I hope to (pick your deity) that this is for a beater wheel, especially given prices of a basic shimano front hub.

i can't thank you all enough for setting me straight - it's much appreciated.

yeah, i think i'll save this for my redline mono-cog (for urban streets) project. i have a crmo rl mono-cog with "tom slicks" and bull horns; nothing great mind you. maybe hf hubs will give it that "edge."
