man, everyone is sick right now.

i was planning on doing this, but between not being able to swallow and breathe and didn't think i could swing it. thanks to everyone who did make it out though for representing our community and letting our voices be heard.

Yes, yes, good stuff. I made it out but had to leave early b/c, well, the ride was running WAY behind schedule and I had a previous engagement. Good to see the ss/fg bf'ers out in full force.

I'm really glad i was able to make it out for some of it though. I got nearly crunched on Chambers street today right across from the Board of Ed building. Had to bail off the bike and hit the ground. I'm totally fine, but it was the first close call I've had in a while. I told the driver of the black car that he needs to pay more attention to what's going on around him (i.e. not swerve out into the oncoming traffic lane when there's a bike right next to you and a car coming toward you...ARGH!!!!). It's rides like this that can make people think, if only for an hour, or two, or three days or four weeks that there are other, non-motorized, two-wheeled vehicles out there in the streets sharing the road with their two ton metal thunderboxes. And that they can die at your hands when you're not paying close enough attention.

BAB and Times-Up, thanks for taking the time to organize this. It's important to not let the world ignore its mistakes.

it sure was a beautiful day to ride.

didn't get to roll with the pack yesterday, but I did go by the EP memorial on 5th to pay respects.
