I have a 1980ish Soma Cosmopolitan. The BB and cranks are still on it but it needs a new BB. It also has a fork and headset. The cranks are Shimano Tourney. I also have the front and rear dia-compe center pull brakes off of it as well as their levers. The seat tube 47cm c-c and the top tube measures 52cm c-c. I'm 6'3" and have no use for it.
I'm looking for a longer stem (13 or 14cm) for what the Alpha Mercury specs on the website say is a 1" stem but I measured it and its 1 1/8" across (info?). Also I'd like a better saddle, a better/lighter-than-mine frame in a 59-62, nicer-than-stock 130bcd 165mm cranks or other bcd 165mm cranks and chainring...
Long story short I want to do some building up of the Alpha because I feel like the frame is the last thing (most expensive thing) to replace about it. Help me make a decent bike out of this.

I have a 59cm black, 1 1/8 threadless, group buy frameset that I want to barter.
Things I might like are an old, working thinkpad or powerbook with at least a wireless (airport) card and dvd drive or a nice, new (or relatively new) touring frameset. Feel free to make me other reasonable offers though. I reside in the central Ohio area, but I'm willing to ship the frameset.
If I don't get any acceptable offers this weekend, it's going on ebay next week.
Things I might like are an old, working thinkpad or powerbook with at least a wireless (airport) card and dvd drive or a nice, new (or relatively new) touring frameset. Feel free to make me other reasonable offers though. I reside in the central Ohio area, but I'm willing to ship the frameset.

Also, a Kashimax Five Gold saddle. It's light brown leather. Also, brand new but has a few scuff marks from sitting around a shop. It fits normal rails, not narrow NJS seatpost rails.

i've got a 56 black iro group buy frame with a couple nicks in the paint and an fsa headset that i will trade for a 53 iro gb in black or blue or a 53 similar track frame (khs, mercier...) as long as the fork is drilled. holla

Bars (cut too narrow for me i think they are about 36-38) - $15 (used about 3mths) or $20 with Black Ourys (but cut out at ends to put on bullhorns)

HAVE: Used Persons Majestic saddle, it is honey w/ copper rivets. It has some scuffs and wear, definatley used but in good condition
