i've always wondered about those...
how does the stem clamp tighten about the bars?
are there twist and lock threads or something of the like?

You insert a long allen key into the stem body to tighten both clamp and the stem itself. It's the slickest system ever making theft very minimal. Quite possibly the sexiest stem EVER but its too long for my short arms

casually interested in trading:
have: 165mm Campagnolo Pista cranks (151bcd, fluted, etc)
want: 165mm modern-style Campagnolo Pista cranks.

you've got the modern ones and want the classic ones? hit me up. but i'll say no to 170mm. I have short legs. and no, i'm not selling. i'm trading.

I'm starting to think my mass quantity of bicycles needs to be thinned. I would really like a nice touring bicycle like a long haul trucker or even a really good condition 520. I would give up two of these three bicycles for the RIGHT touring bicycle:

-Surly steamroller with paul hubs, ultegra cranks setup like a SS cross bike.
-Red SLX De Rosa. Mostly super record but with brand new open pro rims
-Magenta 1987 Gitane R.S. Mix of campagnolo, shimano and nice Mavic BB. Reynolds 531 pro.
-Phillips 28" 'gentleman's bicycle' Nice. Rare.
-Look KG386 carbon frame with mavic wheels and carbon flat bar. Currently has 10 speed cassette and single chain ring. Weighted 17lb as a SS.

All these bikes are 58-60cm. The touring bicycle I want would be 58-59cm.

GAUGING INTEREST:

The Kiyo on ebay is reallllllly driving my nutz right now and i am considering getting rid of my baby. I have a Romic Track frame built sometime in the 80s with Columbus Air tubing (all the tubing is aero, even the lugs). with a campys pista bb and a campy hs. The frame has a fair amount of paint dings in it and I can get detailed with that if needed. I dont know of any dings in the frame inself. I serviced to BB to go to New York at the end of october and put the cranks on, then hastly realized they had to come off to take on the plane and i stripped the non drive side. So only problem is you have to buy the record 165 cranks with it also. The post will be included. if someone offers me something i think is worth the frame i will (blank) it because i really want this Kiyo
size is 55 by 55
Heres some pics.

^^I have two nice quality Araya 36h rims that are currently laced. The wheels are original on a 80s track bike. I want exactly what you've got. I can send you pics later, but would you be interested in the trading my rims for yours? I can unlace the rims for the trade. Thanks! pm me if you're interested.

-Steve

ed: they are non-machined and greyish brown. I'll send you pics later.

Anyone got some medium MKS clips they wanna trade for some slightly smaller Christophe clips?

I bought 'em today to replace the MKS one I broke, and I think they're a little small for my feet. HOLLA!

feeler: I have a carbon track fork from a 56cm fuji track pro. It's not drilled for brakes and about 40mm rake. I'd like to trade it for a stock fork from a pista concept, but i'd consider another 1-1/8" threadless fork with similar rake that's drilled.

it's black, red, and white, with some visible carbon. I can take photos also. It would be replacing the stock fork so I'd need at least 210-215mm steerer (approximate length of the current fork).
