i have a b17 narrow, after it was broken in it's fine in the drops.

if you're a light rider i recommend riding it in the rain once or twice (at least 5 miles) and treating it with the conditioner. i've broken mine in that way and it has held its shape well since(about 3 years now).

yeah the B17 is fine in the drops for some people, too. I'm just saying that the narrow version isn't going to solve any problems that someone might have w/ the standard version.

have: maybe my 57cm trek frame that i used for my conversion. 1984 460. previous owner powdercoated it. der hanger and cable loops still on the bike. downtube has no shifter bosses, but i'm guessing it used a clip on boss as this was the entry level frame.

want: something like an iro angus or soma rush, 53-57 ish.

not totally sure on this, just thinking about it. send me PM's to help me think. i'm also considering just saving up for a continuum frameset or the affinity kissena.

thanks!

The Narrow is really well broken in, but my sit bones usually end up right on the rivets, and the cock pit is adjusted just the way i like it.

I am in Colorado. PM me if you want to trade. (its black, btw)

I have tektro mountain bike brake levers i ordered for my san jose. The right one (only one i put on) didn't fit around my chopped drop bars, so i had to bend it a bit. I'm looking for another break lever that will fit on drop bars, and aren't to large.

I have a Steve Rex 'UF' frame for trade. Its a 54cm. It has a 54.75cm c-c top tube dimension and a 31.25" standover height. I'd like to trade for another frame, something in the 57-59cm range.

WTT Vintage 80's Alan Super Record Carbonio 59cm

I have a 1984 Alan Super Record Carbonio frame bicycle with a lot of carbon fiber components. The idea behind the build was to put together a bike that really showed the beauty of lugged carbon fiber & aluminum construction. I'd like to trade for either a complete steel frame track bike, a bare nuckle frameset, or a fully fitted commuter / tourer with rack, fenders, etc. I will also consider trades for vintage lugged steel road frames/bikes provided they are lightweight, preferably columbus, reynolds, or some such high quality tubing. 56-58cm

The rear derailleur, right brake lever, and right side of the saddle bear a few light scratches from a spill I took on a tight turn. It was a minor crash that didn't harm the bike; my right knee saw the brunt of the impact. The frame itself is nearly mint. Excellent condidtion overall, as you can see from the photos.

I live in Chicago and would prefer to make a face to face trade, so you would need to be within a few hours driving distance from here to make this work. Also, as I'm fairly new to this forum, I'd prefer PMs or you can email me at mr.emerick at gmail

Frame: 1984 Alan Super Record Carbonio 59x58cm; hand laid Toray Carbon woven tubes bonded with alloy lugs and a special process to prevent galvanic corrosion at the joint
Fork/Headset: Alan aluminum / Shimano 600
Stem/Bars: WR Compositi carbon fibre quill / ITM Super Europa aluminum
Brakes/Levers: Shimano 600 centerpull / Modolo
Seatpost/Saddle: Corima Eclipse carbon fiber / Felt 'Carbon' blk/ylw (different from pictured)
Front Wheel: Nukeproof carbon composite hub, DT bladed spokes, Araya rim, Tufo s3 lite tubular
Rear Wheel: Spinergy Rev-x, Michelin Orium
Crankset/BB: Shimano Deore, Shimano UN53
Drivetrain: Sugino 44T carbon chainring / Regina 11-13-15-17-19 cassette
Rear Derailleur: Shimano A350 (intended as a place holder until I could get something better)
