This isn't exactly news... but it is funny how these guys have been going for months whereas the Skidstrong folks (now Fisso) had to change it after a few weeks. Ho-hum.
Cosmo star hit the nail on the head. It's Urban-Outfitters pseudo-ironic consumerism. Buy this to fit in with the people who are making fun of people who buy stuff to fit in. Now it kind of reminds me of the Church of the Subgenius... http://www.subgenius.com/ |

That's a weird photo - your wrist clearly looks like a neck, and your forearm looks like the back of a head wearing a stripey hat. |
Stupid.

Oh no, another rubber device that would be better suited as a rubber band to fling at someone...
If I want a bracelet it better have diamonds on the perimeter...! :D |

Perhaps "LIVEWRONG" is more about mocking mortality than seeking some sorta lame-o camaraderie about the sinking ship of your personal fleshbucket. so, before you pass judgement, make sure you have all the facts, everything out there has it's true believers, but it also has it's tag alongs. |

Pretty swell blog, I guess. I bought one of the "Che Merckx" t-shirts from him a few months ago. It's a hot shirt - but then again, anything with Merckx's face on it is gonna be pretty hot. and he sells one of the better track bike teeshirts out there. |

Seriously, can someone enlighten me to some of the common gripes people have? there. that's my lance rant. when it comes down to it, i don't really care about him one way or another, but i hate it when people assume that i'm lance's biggest fan when they learn that i ride my bike all of the time. |
Back (way back) when I was turning wrenches for K-Mart Automotive, my buddies and I were wearing fashionable oil filter gaskets around our wrists before there was even an Armstrong.

Do you think the yellow band plastic can cause cancer?
|
No one likes Lance because he's from Texas. Plain and simple. Only people who like Texas like Lance.

Those Livewrong bracelets started as a way to make money for a family that lost someone. The Drunkcyclist helped promote it cause he knew the family and wished to help them raise money for their bills. Then the money from the cause was moved to that cycling group there in AZ.
I think they're great if not just because when I see one I know I am talking to someone who I have something in common. We might visit the same site, discuss on the same forums, and probably both enjoy riding bikes. Take it easy. |
**** if its for drunk cyclist, that makes it even worse. what a ****hole ****rag of a website

I am still waiting to get my ass licked

Seriously, what the **** is that? someone mentioned a cool Merckx jersey there but all I could find were 10 billion links to cheesy porn. The whole thing was ****ing impossible to read and seemed to have more to do with porn ads than biking. |
i've had a couple livewrong bracelets for a year or so now...
i got it when i regularly trying to talk about bikes with people wearing livestrong ones and they had no idea what i was talking about... the majority of them didn't even know what the livestrong thing was about, just that everyone else was wearing one... |
