Q: Viner Frame???

I'm looking at buying a Viner 1980's track frame from a friend for $225, it is a steel gray and has a campi chainring, dont know what kind of crank, campi seat, and is in good condition. i, however, know nothing about Viner frames and was hoping someone could tell me if this is a good deal. i know he purchased the bike for $100 and invested $50 for the chainring and re-packed the bottom bracket and everything else. if ya know anything about them, or if it is a good deal please tell me. thanks

A lot of them were made with 531, which makes it a very nice frame.

I have a 70's viner track frame. i have had it for about five years and i am very happy with it. I got mine for 225 complete ( including a bent track handlebar and tubular rims, those went in the parts bin very quickly) Buy it!
