what color?
 

I'm thinking about painting my bike. It's a '88 schwinn, lugged steel, black with yellow and red accents. It's a bit scratched up, not horribly, but enough to make me think about giving it the old rattle can.
please talk me into it or out of it. If you guys are convincing enough, I'll paint it whatever color you recommend, and post before and after pics.

If it's only a bit scratched I wouldn't bother painting it. the original paint is going to be much more durable than anything you can buy at the hardware store, and assuming you do a really nice job, it'll be a bit scratched again in no time.
