I'm in for 9:30 am at 8th and Market.
I think a print of the zoomed in GMAP route should be sufficient.

Wouldn't it make more sense to start at Dolores Park like the map?

I'm in for tomorrow. Earliest Sunday caltrain gets into SJ at 9:30, so I'll get there as quick as possible after that -- I guess if we're starting at Dolores Park I should jump off at 22nd st station and go down 20th ?

We'd have to make it to SJ in time to make the 12:00 or 13:00 trains (arriving SF 1:36 or 2:36 respectively).
If we left at 9am, we'd have to average over 17.33mph. In reality, including all the lights, stops, etc... that's probably well over 19-20 mph average. I'm willing to give it a go if the rest of the crew is up to it.

we'll see. realistically... i, myself haven't ridden much, and am not sure how much i want to push it. i was hoping it'd be a cruiser ride. if the weather is anything like todays weather, its going to be a beut. but i'm down to roll, whatevs.

so with that, from what i understand there are various cal train stations along the way, so that anyone can drop out as needed. just so there's no pressure for anyone to push to hard.

although i would like to get there as fast as possible, i understand that not everyone wants to push too hard. Crusing is fine with me its been a few months since ive ridden 50+ miles.

I dont think averaging 20mph is realistic for a casual group. Nor is departing a half hour early, for that matter

There were some parts of the ride to Inkd's place when we were pacing at 22+mph. We just have to work together. Anyway I'm okay with cruising too.

Who's gonna be the navigator? I.e., does anyone who'd definitely going know the route, or should I study the gmap and figure it out?

I haven't finished, but I was going through the route earlier today and transcribing it. GMaps pedometer eventually crashed my browser

Haven't quite finished writing down the last bit from Santa Clara to SJ, or the transition from Old County Road to Middlefield in Redwood City.

SAN FRANCISCO
From Dolores Park
- 19th to Valencia
- Valencia to Mission (other side of Cesar Chavez)
- Mission to Geneva (a ways past 280)
- L on Geneva to Bayshore blvd
- R on Bayshore, down alongside Caltrain to where it becomes Airport Blvd (in SSF)

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
- Airport Blvd to Grand Ave
- R on Grand Ave to Linden
- L on Linden
- Linden curves L, then turn %R onto Dollar, which becomes Herman

SAN BRUNO
- Herman goes under 380, then turns R as Forest
- Immediate L onto Huntington Ave
- Huntington crosses San Mateo ave, then becomes San Antonio

BURLINGAME
- skooch around Lomita Park Elementary school, and end up on Center St to El Camino Real
- Take El Camino Real about a mile to Murchison Drive
- R on Murchison to California drive
- California drive becomes N San Mateo Dr

SAN MATEO
- N San Mateo Dr several miles to E 5th Ave (T-intersection at Central Park)
- L 1 block on th, R on Laurel to 9th, R on 9th
- L onto Palm Ave
- Palm Ave down under 92, ends at 25th
- L onto 25th, R on S. Delaware St

BELMONT & SAN CARLOS
- S. Delaware St becomes Pacific Blvd which becomes Old County Road, running parallel to El Camino Real (82)

REDWOOD CITY
- Complicated bit where Old County ends, run around to end up on Middlefield Road through Palo Alto

MOUNTAIN VIEW
- Middlefield Road becomes W. Middlefield in Mountain View
- W Middlefield becomes E Middlefield, under 237 to Central Expy service road
- Take that under Central Expy to E Arques Ave
- E Arques Ave becomes Scott Blvd
- Turn L onto unnamed trail after Octaivus Drive, goes under Bayshore Fwy
to Mission College Blvd

Get off at 22nd and take 16th over unless you want to get a few big hills in before the ride.

I might stop by but sonia wants to ride around the city tomorrow so we won't be going to SJ, sorry...

Just to confuse you more, this is the route I usually take:

I've got the route committed to my porn^h^h^hhotographic memory.
Or you can download and print this https://blastradius.home.mindspring.c...gmap-route.pdf

In fact, can someone print it? My printer is on the fritz.
