Cool wooden fenders anyone? Check these out.
A few wks back I posted a few pics of wooden fenders (on bikelist.org) and came across this chap named Cody who also handmakes wooden fenders (3 ply and finishes them, too)
for 1/2 the price of other retailers. Since then I must admit seeing some of these styles have really made them as attractive to me as the clean lines of a fixie ... or a lovely Brooks saddle with copper rivets...or a lugged bike...you get
the idea...another way to make your bike stand out and be classy/cool.
Here is Cody's ebay address where you can what he makes and his rating.
In the meantime here are 2 links of pics from bikelist.org of people who've bought some of Cody's wooden fenders...mine will be posted next wk (my surly
will have albatross bars and wooden fenders)
For the 2nd set of pics ( ie, webshots) just cut/paste
that address in the URL with no www in front of it.
So, from the riv bikelist, bike pics from a few co-members who've also bought Cody's wooden fenders.

I must admit, that wooden fenders can really add some class
to a bike: just like a nice paint job or lugs: they stand
out in a really stylish way.
And from the maker of the fenders (CODY) himself, here is a link to his
ebay site:
Just posted these: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT
Same as the other purpleheart/ maple set but without the stripe and a bit more narrow.
Also not sure if you have seen this set:

That's all for now. Thanks. Cody "
Cheers

To be frank, investing in wooden fenders has only occured
to me recently: i didn't really think them that cool (too slim)
until I got more into them and found out River City's fenders
(gorgeous) and then Cody's...a whole new appreciation for
them just took hold of me...esp since you can do so much with
different wood grains, inlays, etc.
