Forte Axis Carbon Road Fork

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...goods&v=glance

I'm thinking about purchasing this fork, does anyone know if this is threaded?

StylingPaT 02-03-06 10:22 PM

No one knows?

ZappCatt 02-03-06 10:25 PM

I would say no...
Forte is the Performance house brand...and they have a combo pack with that fork which includes a threadless stem at:

Doesn't look like. However, it looks like it was designed for integrated headset (wide shelf at the crown) and it would't look right on a steel frame with narrow headtube. I have a fork for integrated headset on my road bike - I made it look kinda allright despite this diameter mismatch with an O-ring between the shelf and the headset, which additionally seals the bearing - can post pic if you like.

dude, your thinking of purchasing bike parts from amazon.com!?
don't do it. its not going to work out.
+ it doesn't even have ANY specs.
and if you call them, they'll prob be clueless about it because amazon.com aren't bike people.

ZappCatt 02-04-06 02:04 AM

It is the exact same price at Performance...

Dude, its 2006. Any road fork that's not specified otherwise is a 1 1/8 threadless.

It says size:1

No_Minkah 02-23-06 08:25 PM

bump it can be either 1 or 1 1/8, Performance.com is just sold out of the 1 1/8.

on another note, this deal is pretty sweet for a carbon fork. 50% off?
