+1

if anyone decides to make these put me on the pre-order list!

Nachoman 02-04-06 10:58 AM

Isn't it easier to just carry a 50 cent bottle opener?

humancongereel 02-04-06 11:05 AM

but that's soooo played out...

Post some ideas and I could weld them up.

votedean 02-04-06 01:32 PM

just get a wall mounted opener, they're pretty standardly sized holes that fit the water bottle mounts if you have some on your conversion.

gnat 02-04-06 04:29 PM

distributor is way cheaper than buying it at a bar. i would think on any normal occasion anyway.

Rikardi151 02-04-06 05:52 PM

^ agreed... and pizza type shops are the worst... though theyre often the only option for late nights.

Now when you crash, you'll have something sharp that can skewer you in the stomach!

practicality first. safety eventually.

jotog 02-04-06 06:21 PM

Just to add my two cents. I think it makes your functional piece of art brilliantly special. I think it's just cool. Well done!

exactly. god forbid you need some alcohol for home and it's after 10. it feels a little bit like heaven when I visit other cities and there's alcohol for sale in pretty much every store you go in.

Rikardi151 02-04-06 06:38 PM

Speaking of which.. are distributors open on sundays?

the opener part may need to extrude more, but here you go.
this way it wouldn't be dangerous, and if it worked like a regular set screw one, it could be pretty cool.

killsurfcity 02-04-06 10:14 PM

oops, in case no one knows what that is, it's a bar end opener. duh.

not as hip as bending over to pop a bottle off your trackends 14" off the ground. no street cred

Ronin 02-04-06 11:29 PM

I like the bar end opener idea the best so far. I will get to work on it.Maybe I can modify a starnut to fit inside my bar or something. I will post some pics and details when I get it done.

sloppy robot 02-05-06 12:10 AM

just stick to beers that have the opener in the bottom of the bottle you just finished... annd never stop drinking.. problem solved..

(for the geeks.. i believe its called the "punt" of the bottle.. but thats wine.. but if its indented for an opener.. then itd be slightly "punted".. no?)

humancongereel 02-05-06 12:23 AM

what beers are those? do they come in 40s?

Alexi 02-05-06 01:26 AM

karmaboy 02-05-06 07:32 AM
