for under 100 bucks, you're looking at crap or used. Highly unlikely to find a 'deep v' style rim for under 50 bucks that isn't total garbage. That leave you just enough money for some NOS galvanized spokes and a suzue jr.

I got a front hub...gonna get a rear eventually, order rims and have me a new wheelset built. That's another option for only getting one wheel.

or that. if you don't want both wheels you could definitely resell that front for more than the difference over $100. now we're thinkin.

I would not be surprised if IRO's rear only was more like $130...The rear is more expensive then the front, you get a "discount" when you buy them as a pair, etc.
When Bens Bike had a pair for $149, I contacted them to see how much a rear only was and they quoted me $105...

I may be wrong, but IRO branded wheels are built by velocity, and are the gold standard when it comes to cheapish, well built wheels. Yes, you can get Nashbar, Performance, Ben's etc., but a lot of people have been burned. Used wheels on ebay is not a good option.
A good wheel will last as long as a good dog, maybe longer. How desperate are you to get this wheel? It's the middle of winter. Put away $25 per paycheque, and buy a nice wheel come march/april.

well this all came about when i bought my girlfriend a bike. the wheels that came on her bike are very strange ritchey wheels with a cassette hub in the back. i put my wheels on her bike and was going to keep the front wheel and just get a new back wheel becasue the one that came on her bike was offset for multi-speed stuff. After some research i found out they are pretty good wheels and should be able to get a decent amount of money from them. so i'm gunna just get a full wheelset from iro.
if anyone is interest in the wheels they are 28 spoke ritchey zero system ocr wheels
