   But I'd slow down, or your boss will expect more caps out of you. :D |
looks like they keep getting better. how many panels are they?
I have the same amp as in the first zuba pic.... sweet cap shants... Im still partial to the mapei....what i would give for a full team kit... it looks like four panels, handstitched or machine?
4 panels. i can do 8 and 3, too. i'm going to come up with a pattern for a 3 panel tomorrow. 8 is really awful and too "beanie cap" to me, but i can do them.
I like 'em, too. Post your site when you get it up - I'll buy one. It would be great to get a hand-made original for a change. Good luck with it!!

doyou put anything in to keep the brim stiff.? my girlfriend has been tryign to make them but she doesn't like the brim
i hope the ones you sell for the general publc sit deeper and not so shallo wlike the doom one :/ my ears are big and must be hidden.
If you need/want to use a better camera to get better shots of your hats when you put em up for sale, let me know. I've got one, and I'm literally a 30 second ride away from you.
yeah, i put stuff in the brim... jonb - i'll probably be making a set of hats that are very similar to the doom hat in general, but i am planning on doing mostly full custom work, which would allow for deeper hats, etc.

Shants, hit up local welders in your area, since these caps are indistinguishable from welding caps. It might give you a little more business than just selling to cyclists. I use cycling caps for when I'm welding way more than riding, anyway. Just an idea.
So, is the thinking that we could send you some kind of fabric and you could make a hat? Or is custom just "I want mine to be this big"?
So when are you going to be starting your sweatshop to make all these hats everyone wants?
any new ones made yet? |
i'm with el twe, can we just send you the fabric/material when you start making them and you do your thing?
yes kids, a tvyek (fabric used in postal envelopes, fedex etc.) cycling cap. fits approx. sizes 6 3/4 -> 7.
http://www.chemicalwarfare.net/~apratt/tyvekhat.jpg this **** is ****ing ridiculous |

that thing is made only for 13 year olds
you need to make a tyvek one that has the housewrap words on it
Did you design the hat yourself or did you find a pattern somewhere?
Ps. They look good, that doom one is sweet. I'd definitely be interested in one once you get your whole routine going. |
it's a standard 4 panel design. i figured out the pattern.
