Yeah, he said that the ones that were sold through Trackstar (which is where I got mine) were pretty early bags. w/r/t the waist strap, he said he hadn't really figured out how long they needed to be on the smaller bags at that point. I would guess that means he fixed it.

I just measured Pocket. Whilst curled up into an adorably sleepy ball, she measures ~12"x6"x3" (216 cubic inches).

The published dimensions of a medium freight bag are 25x13x10 (3250 cubic inches).

3250/216 = an AKC of ~15.

Those look nice. I am going to need a new bag since I planning on riding to school soon when I get my bike rolling. Its about an 11 mile ride and I dont think my regular backpack isn't going to cut it. Wondering how small is the mini and if it is two small to be worth it. I want something that I can haul what ever amount of books and papers I need with room for tools, maybe some rain cloths, and of course an adorable kitty. (to young for the six pack unless its of root bear =)

one of the nastiest beverages i've ever had. it was the substitute for beer at one of the checkpoints in an alleycat i did over the summer, and it was disgusting to chug. give me an IBC root beer 32oz anyday.

since i started this thread and since no one has mentioned the backpack (which i purchased),
i will again chime in. the bag itself is really big yet has nice compression straps on the top
and botton of both sides which are very useful if you load isnt too big. sadly i was only
able to use it a few days before it was vandalized but i liked it much more then the chrome
ranchero and it was very comfortable to wear. as i said i think this is a good place
not to say that other companies arent good as well but this was just my personal
experiance and travis was very helpful and flexible with me,
it really was a very good interaction.

Is yours the one that was hanging from the ceiling at Trackstar? That was a really nice looking bag.

Re: Removing the headset

Are the bearings and various headsets going to just float to a safe place along with the grease which you're going to have to wipe out of the races? Are you just going to paint your face with Phil Wood's green goodness a la Lord of the Flies?

those early travel cases i used a plastic that has since been upgraded to a much much stronger, more durable plastic. i started making these just to get me bikes round to alleycat races, and i probably shouldnt have started selling them till id had more R&D. anyways, if the plastic continues to break let me know and ill take care of it. travis

The travel case works great. I was looking at one at the freewheel a few days ago and noticed that the new ones have more velcro than mine. It's always worked for me. Thinking about getting a bag now...

Does anyone have the small or medium sized backpack? If so, how much stuff do they comfortably hold? The large just seems like it would be too big for me.

Briefly, I want to boston a week ago for the zelda race from chicago. Loose ball headset to boot. The thing worked wonderfully. it was "overweight" on the way there through American airlines, but UNited on the way home it was not over weight? I put the bike together on the streets of Boston at 1 AM and for all intents and purposes it was great. loose ball headset is the hardest part. It needs to be cleaned and repacked each time. The only problem I had was carrying it around was very uncomfortable. The strap over the shoulder while riding was painful and the hand straps for carrying were alot very stiff. Otherwise, I did not pay to load my bike on the plane either way. It served its purpose. Travis is a great guy. He donates to tons of races and has a very quick turnaround.

I second that crayonsemble. Travis is a great person to deal with. I had to call him up to add a x-strap to my bag. He did it quickly and without a problem. I’ve had a few bags different bags (zo, bailey, Timbuktu), and I think Travis makes the best, not only for the price, but I can’t remember ever having a more durable or aesthetically pleasing bag.

I believe King Kog was supposed to be getting some. I checked in a two weeks ago and only the bags had arrived.
