Just stopped in scenic buffalo for the first smoke break in 12hrs. Last nite we kept hittin the lounge car till close and enraged a fellow traveler for "talking".

i'm thinking it'd be fun to take pictures too... what lenses are you guys planning on bringing? the widest i've got is a 20mm. not sure about doing any telephoto stuff though.

I've got a 35mm 1.8, 70-200 4.5 and a 35-70 3.5. Not sure what I'm gonna shoot though.

I have the good ol' pentax k1000 but for digital i just have a regular 2m camera nothin fancy. I wanted to ask the real photogs that same question.spud?

Just tossing this out there, but I have enough floor space for a few more bikes and sleeping bags if you want to spoon with Aeroplane or the wheels of my bike.

well, the 20mm is a 2.8, which should be fast enough for the light we'll have. i get wicked lens flares because i don't have a hood... i'm a cheap bastard. :)

i've also got a 75-300/f4-5 and a 50/1.8. it's canon gear, which means i also have a slow plastic 18-55 that came with my digi reb. i hate having to switch out the lenses because that often means i'll miss a shot...

i do think it'd be wicked to have an 8mm lens and just do fisheye stuff, but that might get boring after a bit.

I think the 8mm could be badass for a mass start though, staging your self where people are coming towards you, getting a couple good shots of the insanity and then switching off to something else.

with a lens that wide you would be hardpressed to keep your self out of the frame. i have a 16 and it gets my shoes in the frame everyonece in a while when shooting verticals
