Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? a mcdonald's themed bike? and i'm not talking about shants' color scheme...this one has a mini burger on the stem and a paean to mcd's in the description.

I like the Coppi...and normally I don't really like conversions (despite having one). I think it's the big tubes. I've considered converting my Klein w/ a white ENO hub. But then I wouldn't have a road bike anymore

I think it was a really good day for FGG...the cruiser was fun, the coppi and the shorter were hot.

i could see how it's near and dear to his heart as some childhood thing...how many of us didn't get excited when out parents took us to mcdonald's? of course, we're older now and most of us see some things a little differently...mcdonald's themed stuff is sort of lame, but it being a fixed gear bike, it just seems...like i'm in the twilight zone or something.

i'm gonna shower now.

heh...white castle is good stuff. i'm not anti-meat or burger joint, but i hate "fast food", not to mention the culture, business practices...hell, read fast food nation. super size me is good for the health aspect, but fast food nation goes into a lot more of the detail about the effect fast food, mcdonald's in particular, has had on our country and society and world over the past few decades...it's not nearly as happy as ronald would probably like you to think it is.

One of my room mates keeps going on about how McDonald's burgers are made from meal-worms. It's kinda convincing when he mentions how they started advertizing burgers made with more beef.

Makes me glad my parents are hippies and I've never eaten animals

Yea its mine, my primary (well... only) ride. It's a fun bike, it gets ridden every day. Rode it to San Jose on Sunday with a bunch of others from FGG. My ass is still sore from that seat but it was a blast. Deffinately need to drop a tooth or two in the back.

It sure is fun finishing a bike, I got it to its current state about 2 weeks ago. I was taking a rest from riding around late last night and the street lights glinted off the bars and fork and my heart skipped a beat... <3

yea. im a dork. its official. no wonder i'm single. *goes back to spooning bike*
