Nope. Gotta buy a new one.

For whatever reason, the subject of short forks is making me think of fat guys wearing short ties...

Bernie Mikkelsen will extend it for you but you have to get it to him. He's done a lot of that kind of stuff. I suppose any framebuilder could do it too.

Do a search for "mikkelsen fork".

How much too short is it? I had a fork that was slightly too short for the headset I'd just installed, so I basically made the fork "longer" by turning it on a lathe, extending the distance from the fork top to the crown race.

I can make it longer for you. you'll need a 'donor' steerer. cut off the too short steerer, weld on the new one (with a sleeve inside to keep it straight and add some extra strength), done. pm me if you're interested.

My road bike has had a bernie extended fork on it for a couple of years. Bernie says he has done it for tandems and bmx bikes without problems. It seems to be a very overbuilt solution (solid plug forced into both sections of tube, welded, and turned down) the only downside is some additional weight.
