I finally took pictures during a ride so that I could share them here. My wife wanted to try out her new camera and this seemed to be as good a time as any. While she doesn't read the forums, she is aware of this thread.

In Michigan...

Taken on the boardwalk at the spill way.

This was one of about 20 ducks. It was the only one that stood still long enough for me to get the picture.

Near Brace Lake (DNR boat launch). Bikes to the left. Mine is singularly unsuited to this type of riding.

Me at the end of the dock. Too cold, no fish.

The dirt road to the dock

I know its not Greece or Spain but its all I've got for now.

Man. Sedona is absolutly ****ing amazing. Especially for trail riding. The whole Vortex thing is odd, but they have some great food there and awesome scenery (as you can see).

Did you get out to Zion Canyon Ill Mitch? Sexy bike by the way .

nope didn't get to Zion Canyon (just googled it, looks pretty)

I wish that was my bike, I didn't want to go through the hassle of bringing my bike on the plane and risking damage so I rented it for the week my bro and I were staying there.

it was a Titus Motolite, Fox F80rl fork, Fox RP3 in the rear, Avid Juicy Fives, pretty sweet.

this thread is great because it shows a reason why I like bike riding so much...

because I'm an explorer, I like to experience traveling, and being where I travel...not in a big cage, but a tool that lets me be where I pass through...and figure out where I'm going

how many times have we gone somewhere with our bikes and learned the area in a day or even a few hours faster than someone who's lived there for a month or more?

I'm an explorer..that's why I like this thread...and riding my bike

Glad you guys like the pictures! I have about 300 more on facebook.com, pm me if you want to see them (I don't like putting it out on the open).

Turkey's a pretty big country, and outside the major cities traffic isn't all that bad so yeah you could ride bikes (wouldn't recommend it in Istanbul though). The pavement can be rough but it's generally pretty good but the drivers are a little crazier than most in america. Most touristy type areas you can rent mountain bikes, if you're really interested pick up a lonely planet or do some research aside from my pictures to give you an idea of what it's like. If you do decide come here definitely try an learn some Turkish because outside tourist sites most people won't speak a word of english. I'm here with a study abroad program until january and should be traveling one or two more weekends before I leave. Everywhere I go I end up needed the little Turkish I've learned and it always helps. People love to hear you learning their language an it can lead to all kinds of discounts and weird conversations. Here's a few photos from Capadoccia - or in Turkish Kapadokya.

Overview of Göreme Valley

Kapadokya is the land of cave houses, kina cool eh?

See what I mean?

Another cool door in Turkey, there were also some Satelite dishes comming out of other cave-houses. Little visual irony for ya.

Listed in classifieds with "room for verticle development" in the description.

Wow you guys have some really good photos. Those Houses in Turkey look alien.
Well I need to get some good photos but here a few which are on my phone. All at night I am afraid

Some people have way too many dishes. It's so vulgar!

Royal Victoria dock in East London. This place is huge. Instead of being used for building shipsit now has lines
of expensive flats but a few hundred yard down the road it is really *****ty.

The view from the fire escape at my office.
