The FGG had this up for (tomorrow): http://fixedgeargallery.com/2006/feb/DanielKeil.htm

I was intrigued enough to look up their website(s): http://cycles-for-heroes.com
http://fixie.org
http://urban-cycling.com
(more?)

I don't read german or the other language, and it doesn't seem as though their english-language sector is up and running yet. As such, I come here for my information. Maybe someone has some experience with FixieInc's, maybe somebody is similarly intrigued and can read german, maybe someone fulfills both categories.

In any case, the page is navigable without language skillz. Look for the "Car-Scratcher" bar plugs. Great ****ing Idea.

PS - I'd post pictures, but I lack the skills to do so easily, while apathy abounds.
PPS - That last underlined segment was not a link. This one was.

ok. what do you want to know?

the other language is turkish..

i like the idea of their barplugs, but wouldn´t want to put them into a friend accidently..

koyman 02-13-06 09:52 PM

Mainly how to read German or Turkish. I dunno, I was intrigued and wanted to raise awareness (in case it needed to be raised).

We can start with: price? why don't they make any frames my size?

dolface 02-13-06 09:54 PM

whatever they are, they're going to hell for that flash interface...

koyman 02-13-06 09:55 PM

haha yeah.

oh yeah and dig that lugged stem..

Kinjo 02-13-06 09:58 PM

They aren't ready to sell to the States but I ordered a threadless lugged stem from them. Look at the Black Jack bike, click on the Build Up Kit tab, then click on the red circle around the stem. Searched high and low for a chrome negative rise threadless stem and the lugs are a nice touch. Chrome wasn't perfect but I love the stem regardless. It's not a Vanilla stem but it does the job. They made an exception to sell to me and I had to do an expensive international bank transfer to get this thing to SF. The flash isn't great for sure but they are cool guys.

koyman 02-13-06 09:59 PM

cool
I dig that white (lugged) stem on that white bike.

sure enough... that stuff is $60 for the set, and sounds like a ***** to
install, since you can't just cut the housing wherever you wish.

but still, it's shiny.
