I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I have a single-shoulder strap gigbag; I plan to sew a cross-strap messenger bag style for stabilization purposes.

i guess just make sure you can cinch yer gigbag nice and tight and high so it doesn't get in the way any.

Hi all,

As the OP I figured I'd give an update:

The new guitar I planned on toting on my back arrived on Friday.
It's a Gibson ES-135 - larger than an electric but thinner than an acoustic.

Yes, the neck is angled and would prolly doink me in the head. That's one
problem. The other is that it's such a cool *ss guitar, I couldn't imagine
riding in traffic with it. Maybe a Squier strat, but this thing is the coolest
little jazz / blues box since... well, I dunno.

And after overdoing it today at the grocery / food co-op (Rainbow, who can resist?)
I can honestly say riding with too much crap is not a good idea for a simpleton
urbanite like myself.

So I'll be taking the 'ol Muni bus a couple nights a week.
My Gibson has already breathed a sigh of relief.

Thanks for all the input.
Henry.
