looks like there will be a small posse rolling into downtown milwaukee ~6pm on Monday night, incl. cardstock and treechunk and myself and possibly others.
the (loose) plan is to get drunk on the street and then go to summerfest. (saves beer $!) the alternate plan on the table is to go swimming at a pool that my folks have access to that's on the lakefront near that alterra coffee at the bottom of the hill near McKinley marina. we could see the fireworks from either location.
perhaps a July 3 MKE pillage thread is in order?

Baldylocks, Spud and poopncow....you should all be ambasidors of the wave lifestyle in DC. Wave at everyone on a bicycle. You will be suprised what starts to happen and what you'll notice[/QUOTE]
Dude, that's why I brought it up. I been doing it since I got back and it's awesome the reactions you get! Plus it cuts through all the "cool guy" crap real fast. I'm just waiting 'til I have something that can rival the guy that squeeled at you!

I just had a rhubarb moment. I LOVE RHUBARB PIE. The complexity...the subtlety...the sugary tartness...
That's it. I can't work for the rest of the day.

ooOOOoooo... pie!
Yeah, my bus gets in ~9pm at the 4th street parking garage, whereever that is.
i'm sure i'll already be somewhat inebriated (how else does one ride the bus for 7 hrs?) but i'll be ready to go!

Rumor has it that Ira and Andrea will be getting in on Thursday, too. This could be fun
mplsminx - I think pie would probably be OK, if the brownies I had down there for angel's birthday were any indication...

Yeah, I know that. I just figure that if there's going to be people getting together at the t-rock for bridge club that night, I'm probably not going to want to be moving in the morning...

Hey Chimbs,
From my farmer friend:
"rhubarb season is almost over for most farmers although you can harvest it all season pretty much. You could find it at most farmers markets right now, but not for long."
GET ON THAT!
