OneTinSloth 02-27-06 05:13 PM

i_am_pedals 02-27-06 05:55 PM

dude...

you're in my old stompin grounds.. there are a bunch of good hikes (on the side with the mountains. hehe) that go to perdy things like water falls, and the like.. ask the locals.. (the hairy ones, not the air force kids..)

we gotta go for a ride when you get back..

pitboss 02-27-06 07:48 PM

Palmer Park is a good place to ride (park in the middle of town - good trails!)
Captain Jack (or is it Blackjack?)
Garden of the Gods (has/had trails)
Phantom Canyon (restaurant too!)

damn OTS - you are making me want to move back there...mountains, velodrome, microbrewfest, Focus on the Family...wait, scrub that last one.

haha - so true.

wasn't there some sweet trail for riding near the AFA?

Wait, ask LALA, OneTin. She is in Monument if I remember correctly.

yeah, it's coming back to me now.. so, i used to live in the palmer lake/monument area, just five miles north of co. springs.. there's this main road that goes from palmer park through monument and then further north, i think, eventually connecting with that main freeway.. there's a pretty train and lakes with beavers.. it's definitelly worth the scenic ride (or drive if you're bikeless)..

mareesha 02-28-06 05:09 PM

I am so jealous.

xcutterx 02-28-06 07:13 PM

i have a bike you can borrow. chris and I live 2 blocks from the velodrome. email me at sboyer@coloradocyclist.com

**** - we should all converge upon Colorado Springs and make it our new home. Such a great place. velodrome - microbrewfest - mountains - Focus on the Family - isotopesope's cult-house...what's not to like? No Frogurt...boo

WithNail 02-28-06 08:10 PM

I thought for a second you meant coral springs, florida.

isotopesope 03-01-06 08:46 AM

oh crap, now i regret not looking at this awful site until now... i'm so sick of the 'my limp wrist hurts and needs a wet towel' threads, so i haven't been even bothering... speaking of which, i'm not sure which color of chrome bag i should put my collection of 'sweet action' magazines in... um, guys? help? i'll make a thread about deep v's! i swear! like this: **** this cock ****.

check your pm...

lala 03-01-06 09:36 AM

Yah, I just saw this thread now...at least you had some of our fine weather!!

Sorry!

lala 03-01-06 09:39 AM

We do need more cool folks here, [165]!

I have resorted to importing a buddy from Cleveland. It was only natural for him to escape that place, once there was a contact here!

ute valley also has some sweet trails... as well as dumb boring ones. it's in town as well. as of last weekend, captain jack's and the rest of lower cheyenne canyon was soo snowy. of course, this week's weather owns, so perhaps it's better. upper cheyenne canyon is going to be out of the question for a while yet... palmer park would probably be your best bet for time and weather. lots of technical.

lot's of folks are haters on this town, but it's due to them being lazy cry babies that can't make their own fun. if you like bikes, this town is great. cars aren't needed to go mountain biking here. we have soooo many great, great trails.

josh, i'm still working on your request.

OneTinSloth 03-03-06 06:03 PM

just got back. didn't have time to check this thing until now. daaaaaamn ute valley is a great riding spot! sorry i missed ya'll!! i'll be swingin' back 'round there as soon as money allows, i think. we mostly hung out at dewey's on centennial...went downtown on tuesday night and it was a little too crazy for me, but i got to drink a $17 16 year old scotch on the rocks, which was faaaantastic.
