Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Met a legend at the swap meet

Met a legend at the Saint Paul Swap Meet. I've lusted after his frames, Chris Kvale. It was like the afternoon I met Eddie Belfour, and had him sign a puck. I was just floored. We got to talking about fixed gear. He says that's all he rides. Asked if he could convert my horizontal drops for track drops, he said sure. Asked if he ever takes on apprentices, he said no, "too much trouble."
I'm psyched, my conversion will be modified by one of the best frame builders in the Twin Cities, and one of my personal legends. Now if I could just find a baseball card to have him sign.
